I currently looking to buy one of two homes. one has a hvac system that’s almost at the top of the energy star rating, and the other has electric baseboard heat. how much savings would the hvac system have over the baseboards. i like the home with the baseboards more but don’t want to pay an arm and a leg for heat this winter. i also have a 6mo. old who will be crawling soon and worry about safety. I heard the the hydronic baseboards are safer, but are the water filled baseboards more efficient then the normal ones? Would appreciate any help, thanks

Changing some baseboards in my house and currently have electric baseboard heat. I saw these electric hyrdonic baseboard heaters at Home Depot. Will these just wire up or do I need a water line or anything else? It says that the heating element is immersed in a liquid to radiate the heat better. Thanks
What are the advantages of using one of these versus just a normal electric baseboard? They are about 3 times as much money.
